Sandwich Harbour can be visited all year and has a dry desert climate. The best time to camp in Namib-Naukluft National Park is from May to September, when it is not too hot and the weather is cooler.
It can still be very hot during the day in these months, so try not to stay outside for too long. Fishing is not allowed from the end of January to the middle of April.
The best advice we can give you is to keep your packing list short and your luggage light.
You will often be moving from one place to another. Spend your time outside watching the sunset instead of packing, unpacking, and arranging your bags in your room.
