Detailed 4-Day Namibia Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Windhoek – Sesriem – Sossusvlei (Namib Desert)
You will be met by our representative (tour guide) upon arrival at Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport. Your journey begins with a scenic drive through beautiful landscapes and mountain views of the Naukluft Mountain Range to reach the Sesriem area, where you will stay for the night.
The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure. Dinner will be served at Namib Desert Lodge or a similar place.
Day 2: Sossusvlei – Swakopmund
This morning, you will wake up early before sunrise to visit the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei, known as some of the highest in the world. If you are feeling energetic, you can climb to the top before returning to the lodge for a well-deserved rest. Don’t forget your camera, as the scenery is truly beautiful.
You will then travel northwest to the seaside towns of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, located on the Skeleton Coast. Leaving the dunes behind, you will drive through the mountain desert and cross the Tropic of Capricorn, where you can stop for photos upon request.
From the mountains, you will cross the “Namib gravel plains” before reaching the coastal sand dunes at the port town of Walvis Bay. You will have time to see flamingos and other birdlife at the Walvis Bay Lagoon before continuing the short drive to Swakopmund.
Day 3: Swakopmund (Day of Activities)
This morning, after breakfast, your guide will drive you to Walvis Bay for an exciting half-day activity. You need to be at the waterfront by 07:30 to meet your guide for the Sandwich Harbour Tour.
You will ride in a 4×4 vehicle through the Sandwich Harbour Area of the Namib-Naukluft Park. The tour includes a scenic drive along the Walvis Bay Lagoon and the salt mines.
After the tour, you will return to the waterfront to meet your guide and drive back to Swakopmund. Lunch can be enjoyed in either Walvis Bay or Swakopmund, depending on your preference. The afternoon can be spent at your leisure, exploring Swakopmund on foot.
In the evening, you will freshen up before dinner, which can be enjoyed at one of the well-known restaurants in town. After dinner, you will rest for the night.
Day 4: Swakopmund to Windhoek (Departure)
This morning, you will take part in an exciting paragliding activity, which takes place between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay. You will meet your local guide, who will brief you on the activity before you begin.
After completing the activity, you will return to the meeting point and drive back to Swakopmund. From there, you will start your journey back to Windhoek. Lunch will be enjoyed along the way.
On the way to Windhoek, you will stop at the Okahandja Craft Market for some last-minute shopping. If time allows, you can also do any remaining shopping before being transferred to the airport.
You will arrive late in Windhoek, and your guide will drop you off at your accommodation. This marks the end of your safari. Here, you will also say your final goodbyes to your guide.
