Day 1: Windhoek to Sossusvlei
Begin your journey from Windhoek, traveling south through beautiful desert landscapes. Enjoy views of the Khomas Highlands and the Namib Desert, stopping in Solitaire for a light lunch and its famous apple pie.
Arrive at Sesriem Campsite in the late afternoon and set up camp. Spend the evening watching the sunset over the dunes before enjoying a campfire dinner under the starry Namibian sky.
Day 2: Explore Sossusvlei & Deadvlei
Your day starts early with a pre-dawn departure to enter the Namib-Naukluft National Park. The cool morning air and soft sunrise light create a perfect atmosphere for exploring.
Drive deep into the desert to Dune 45, one of the most photographed dunes in the world. Climb to the top for a view of the endless sand dunes stretching into the distance.
Continue further into the desert to Sossusvlei, a vast salt and clay pan surrounded by towering dunes. Explore the area and learn about the unique desert ecosystem.
Nearby, visit Deadvlei, a white clay pan with ancient, blackened camelthorn trees that stand in contrast to the bright white ground and red dunes. Some of these trees are over 900 years old.
Day 3: Sandwich Harbour Excursion & Return to Windhoek
Start your day early with breakfast before heading on a 4 to 5-hour drive to Walvis Bay, passing through the scenic Namib Desert.
Join a 4×4 excursion to Sandwich Harbour in the Namib-Naukluft National Park, where towering dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean. Experience the adventure of dune driving and enjoy the amazing coastal views. A picnic lunch will be served in the dunes.
After the tour, begin the 4 to 5-hour drive back to Windhoek, arriving in the evening to end your journey.
